Bogusław Wróblewski:

Tadeusz Chabrowski's debut volume, Madonny (Madonnas), contained religious lyrics (the first part of the book is based on litany apostrophe), although it also showed intense sensuality expressed by a great sesivity to light and color which has remained a dominant feature of his work until today. I Lato w Pensylwanii (Summer in Pennsylvania), while retaining the religious perspective, the poet treats problems discovered in his cultural and geographical setting using more varied means. There appear elements of irony coming aut of Norwid's understatement and overstatement. Drewniany rower (A Woden Bicycle), published after a twelve-year break in publishint, contains poems about seeking God, but it also presents a series of poems (including the title poem) tackling poetry itself, the process of creation, metaphor, and the word. From the very beginning, his poetry exhibits a fascination with the femine in the cosmos. After a number of years this developed into love lyrics, which are gathered in the present volume.
